East coast of Mallorca;
Not all of the Mallorca East Coast is full on traditional Mallorca holiday resort territory! The stretch of the north east Mallorca coastline around Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla has been recognised for its special ecological and environment value. The area is a specially protected bird sanctuary, with beautiful pine forests overlooking the beach. The name of the game here is peace, quiet and seclusion! There's lots of opportunities for boating around Cabrera, Cala Mondrago, Porto Petro, Cala d´Or, Porto Colom.and Cala Torta, which has a superb horseshoe shaped bay with beautiful sands, dunes and pine forests framing it. There's also a little beach bar. You can actually walk over the rock headland to Cala Mitjana which is even more isolated - no beach bars here.

Capdepera has many of the most beautiful beaches and coves on Majorca's east coast. The areas of Cala Ratjada, Cala Mesquida, Canyamel and Font de Sa Cala are prime tourist spots, with excellent beaches, and with the Arta Caves nearby which make a spectacular family day out. Check out also Capdepera Castle up from Capdepera market square. There's also a couple of excellent golf courses around Capdepera.
